Preventive Care

Regular examinations and professional cleanings

Teeth are cleaned to remove tartar/plaque/calculus. Then they are polished to remove surface stains and give them a smooth feeling. At the end of the visit, one of our doctors examines the patient’s mouth for oral cancer and diagnoses any dental decay or potential problems, and addresses any concerns he or she might have.

Oral hygiene instructions

We educate our patients on how to brush and floss their teeth, and use any other tools that will help them achieve better oral health.

Oral cancer screenings

Our doctors examine patients’ mouth to detect oral cancer.

Patient education

Adding to our oral hygiene instructions, we explain the condition of their mouth to each patient and why hygiene and specific treatments are necessary.

Fluoride

We use fluoride with cleanings, primarily on children. It can be a rinse, foam, or varnish that helps strengthen their teeth.
